Trunnion Ball Valve
The Trunnion Ball Valve is designed for high-pressure applications or large flow diameters. In this valve design, the ball is mechanically fixed to the valve body by the upper and lower shafts, allowing the fluid pressure to push the seats against the ball to ensure a tight seal. Unlike the floating ball valve, this design allows handling very high pressures without affecting the sealing area between the ball and the seat.
