High Purity Ball Valves
Maximum Purity and Reliability
Ensure flawless performance in high purity (HP) and ultra high purity (UHP) applications with valves optimised for sensitive processes
Ball valves for high purity (HP) and ultra high purity (UHP) are critical elements in applications where cleanliness, reliability and flow control are absolutely essential. They are found in specialty gas, semiconductor, fine chemical and gas and clean dry air (CDA) distribution systems, where even minimal contamination can compromise system performance. At Lexier we offer a complete range of HP and UHP valves designed to cover different pressure, temperature and flow requirements. All of them are manufactured under strict decontamination procedures, with bidirectional flow capability and internal finishes optimised to minimise particle generation and retention. Our offer includes three-piece design valves (BGP and BHP Series), valves machined from hex bar stock (BRP Series) and distribution block valves (BDP Series). Each family brings specific features for different scenarios: from low or high pressure applications and high-flow distribution lines to installations where extreme cleanliness is the top priority. HP and UHP ball valves deliver durability, operational precision and the highest levels of purity, providing safe and stable operation even in the most critical environments.
Technical Features
Pressure
- BGP: up to 1000 psig (69 bar)
- BHP: up to 3000 psig (207 bar)
- BRP: up to 2000 psig (138 bar)
- BDP (branch): according to the BGP or BHP series used as the ball valve
Materials
- Polished stainless steel
- Orbital welding on BDP
Certificates
- Factory leak testing with nitrogen or compressed air at rated pressure.
- Optional helium test down to ≤ 1×10⁻⁸ std·cm³/s.
- Compliance with requirements for semiconductor, specialty gas and high purity chemical applications.
Benefits
- Guaranteed high purity: Designed to strict degreasing requirements, controlled internal roughness (down to Ra 0.6 µm on BDP) and materials suitable for specialty gases, semiconductors and fine chemicals.
- Suitable for CDA and bulk gas lines: Appropriate for clean dry air systems and process gas distribution with high cleanliness standards.
- High flow and full bore: The full bore design on models such as BDP and the wide range of orifices provide low pressure drop and greater efficiency.
- Bidirectional flow: Allows installation flexibility and simplifies gas line design.
- Wide pressure range: From low pressures for CDA (BGP, BRP) to high process pressures (up to 3000 psig on BHP).
- Wide temperature range: Safe operation from moderate cryogenic temperatures of -54 °C up to high temperature applications of 232 °C.
- High integrity construction: Options with orbitally welded main tube (BDP), bodies machined from hex bar (BRP) or three-piece design for easy maintenance (BGP/BHP).
- Assured reliability: All valves are factory tested with nitrogen or air at their rated pressure.
- Optional ultra-low leakage: Helium tests available down to ≤ 1×10⁻⁸ std·cm³/s, essential in semiconductors and specialty gases.
- Optimised maintenance: The three-piece design of BGP and BHP allows disassembly and service without removing the valve from the line.
- Configuration versatility: BGP/BHP valves also work as branch valves in BDP distribution blocks.
