Double block and bleed valves are widely used in hydrogen systems to isolate different areas and to allow inspection, repair or replacement of components without interrupting the complete operation of the system. With a compact design, these valves combine several functions in a single unit: two block valves that completely shut off the flow in both directions and a bleed valve located between these two valves that allows any residual pressure or fluid to be released.
