Y-Body Gate Valve ANSI 800
Y-Body Gate Valves are primarily used to completely open or close the flow path. Their design includes a gate (flat or wedge-shaped disc) that moves in a Y-shape within the valve body to facilitate flow blockage.
They are primarily used for on/off operations and in the open position offer minimal resistance to flow, minimising pressure drop. They are suitable for handling fluids with wide temperature and pressure ranges.
